The last place visited in KY was @mammothcavenps. •
It was such an awesome cave! We took the self guided tour and heard some awesome stories from the rangers while there. •
Some fun facts about the cave are that :
1) There are several rooms inside cave that are over several acres in size! 2) There is a river that still runs underneath the cave and teams are still exploring it! (I most definitely could not be on that team! – it would freak me out to be under the earth in the dark, in a river ) 3) They have explored over 400 miles of the cave and still have yet to find the end! 4) It’s the world’s longest know cave system! •
Swipe right to see the shoe washing station we had to go through to prevent the spread a fungus that grows in the cave. That was pretty cool too! •
