We are always in search of beauty and awe inspiring experiences.

We are always in search of beauty and awe inspiring experiences. . And sometimes because we are somewhere new each week, I get tired of searching to find these places and experiences and instead just decide to wing it and see what we see. . That sometimes ends up being a huge bust and means we drive around seeing and doing nothing of merit and other times we hit the jackpot. . We literally drove an hour to get out to the Cape Cod National seashore and only stayed for about an hour. But lucky for us this was the jackpot kind of visit. . As soon as we walked out on the Nauset light Beach, past the creepy Great White shark warning sign, we saw tons of seals poking their heads in and out of the water. No wonder the sharks come here to eat . . We all thought it would be cool to see a Great White shark too, but also agreed that it might be a little more National Geographic than we were ready for. . It was a super windy and chilly day so the waves were huge as they crashed on the shore. The girls had so much fun trying to out run them. . And you know I’m pretty sure if I had tried to plan an experience like this it wouldn’t have been nearly as exciting.

Y’all this is my heartbeat right here. Backpacking in the mountains with amazing views and my favorite people. . I’m pretty sure this looks far more like what most people thought we meant when we said we were going to be RVing full time. Right?! . Back in August we set out on our first family backpacking trip in the Mt. Hood National forest. After ALOT of prep work and research and gear purchasing, we finally were ready to get out there! . My mom heart could not be more stoked that my kids are wanting to do this kind of thing as they are getting older, and that all those hikes that we powered through when they were younger and whiny are finally paying off . . Tent camping is still the worst, for anyone that is wondering , but I loved being out in the wilderness and waking up in the mountains with the the sun and the birds, and getting to experience something new. . What about you? Does this sound like torture to you or an awesome way to adventure? .
