This is our second time visit the Rocky Mountains of Canada and we think that Lake Louise Campground is one of the best places to stay if you want to visit several of the National Parks in the area. Here are 7 reasons why!
🏔 – You are literally minutes away from some of the most photographed parts of Banff NP (Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Peyto Lake, etc).
🏔- You are only a short drive from Kootenay NP, Yoho NP and the rest of Banff NP (it’s divided into two parts). We visited all of them while there.
🏔 – You are surrounded by snow capped mountains, glacier fed rivers, and gorgeous pine trees. Even while you are at the campground you have something to see and do.
🏔 – You have 50/30 amp electric and a dump station with potable water close by in the campground.
🏔 – They have some of the cleanest and nicest showers we’ve seen. (though we don’t usually use the campground showers).
🏔 – 2 of our most favorite hikes ever are right here in Lake Louise! (Lake Agnes Tea hike and Plain of Six Glaciers tea hike).
🏔 – You can avoid the crowds of the most popular spots in Banff NP. Because you are only minutes away from Lake Louise and Moraine Lake you can visit when the crowds go home!
So if you plan on visiting the Canadian Rockies, definitely add a stay at Lake Louise to your list.
