Pushing through and doing it anyway.

We didn’t want to go on this hike. It was chilly and overcast and we always struggle with being active in those conditions.

But we kind of had to go bc we needed a training hike for our upcoming Grand Canyon trip (the girls and I backpacking 27 miles through the Grand Canyon) and this one looked pretty interesting and fit out elevation and mileage needs.

Once we got there, we were all so glad that we pushed through and got outside, though it may have taken some of us longer to realize it than others .

It was a pretty sweet hike too with lots of interesting PNW elements all throughout. Giant trees, a random rainstorm in only one part of the forest, fog, a light house, an old bed and breakfast, and a hidden beach.

There are definitely times when I think you need to stay home and chill and there are times you just got push through the gray day funk and get out adventure anyway.
