Is the iPhone 11 really waterproof?

Is the iPhone 11 really waterproof? AND Granni’s first time Kayaking 🤗. ✹ We finally headed out of Lynchburg on our first adventure in 3 months and to say we were excited would be a total understatement. ✹ But we were also scared. Would travel be weird and crazy now that COVID was a thing? Would my Mom get COVID because she came to see us? ✹ The world had changed in the last 3 months and we knew we’d have to figure out how to navigate being sensitive to what was the new normal, while still living the life that was our normal. Was it even still possible? ✹ But guess what?... We figured it out. We talked with my mom and discussed all the risks of her coming and decided together that it was worth it. We also decided that we could figure out ways to navigate the complexities of COVID and still be safe as a family. ✹ It was an awesome trip too. My Mom kayaked for the first time. We enjoyed many good laughs together. And Joseph tested the waterproof capacity of the iPhone 11 by accidentally dropping his phone into the York river while exiting his kayak. ✹ Yes, he was able to successfully retrieve his phone after it settled on the bottom of the river. How? By strategically diving 7 feet deep and patting the bottom of the river bed, 1 inch at a time, for 30 solid minutes until he miraculously found it. (swipe for photo after his success). ✹ The new COVID world is definitely different but it is something we all can navigate. So go out there, be wise, be safe, be kind, and find your new normal. ✹

Y’all this is my heartbeat right here. Backpacking in the mountains with amazing views and my favorite people. . I’m pretty sure this looks far more like what most people thought we meant when we said we were going to be RVing full time. Right?! . Back in August we set out on our first family backpacking trip in the Mt. Hood National forest. After ALOT of prep work and research and gear purchasing, we finally were ready to get out there! . My mom heart could not be more stoked that my kids are wanting to do this kind of thing as they are getting older, and that all those hikes that we powered through when they were younger and whiny are finally paying off . . Tent camping is still the worst, for anyone that is wondering , but I loved being out in the wilderness and waking up in the mountains with the the sun and the birds, and getting to experience something new. . What about you? Does this sound like torture to you or an awesome way to adventure? .
