Have you ever been to a state park with not 1 but 2 water obstacle courses?!

Have you ever been to a state park with not 1 but 2 water obstacle courses?! . We hadn’t! We did however, get all excited thinking this obstacle course was included in the entrance/camping fee of the park and were a little sad to find out it was a pay by the hour type of thing. . But since the weather was 101 when we were there, we decided to go ahead and go for it! . This was definitely not Joseph nor my favorite state park in Utah. We have been to so many amazing ones in the state but we found this campground and the other facilities to be less clean and manicured than the other parks we have been to. And it’s right by the highway, so a lot of road noise. . But we have learned to go with the flow in this life , so a little road noise and a less tidy campground didn’t ruin our week. Back when we were new to this life, these things would have made us less comfortable tho. . The kids on the other hand LOVED this place. I’m sure it was because of this giant obstacle course (and the larger one we drove by at the other end of this park). And because the water wasn’t cold. After swimming in Colorado they were stoked for some warmer water. . We did have full hook ups and were close to Ogden and Salt Lake City. So all in all I’d probably stop here again! . . .

Y’all this is my heartbeat right here. Backpacking in the mountains with amazing views and my favorite people. . I’m pretty sure this looks far more like what most people thought we meant when we said we were going to be RVing full time. Right?! . Back in August we set out on our first family backpacking trip in the Mt. Hood National forest. After ALOT of prep work and research and gear purchasing, we finally were ready to get out there! . My mom heart could not be more stoked that my kids are wanting to do this kind of thing as they are getting older, and that all those hikes that we powered through when they were younger and whiny are finally paying off . . Tent camping is still the worst, for anyone that is wondering , but I loved being out in the wilderness and waking up in the mountains with the the sun and the birds, and getting to experience something new. . What about you? Does this sound like torture to you or an awesome way to adventure? .
