One thing I love about travel is that no matter how many times you visit a place, there is always something new to explore!

We loved scoping out this sweet tunnel. And finding out the story behind it. It was constructed back in the 1926 by the Rosenberg family to provide easier access to Tunnel Beach from the neighboring Oceanside beach.

You can only access Tunnel Beach at low tide during many times of the year. So be sure to check the tide chart if you plan to visit. And bring a flashlight. It’s pretty dark inside the tunnel and there are lots of logs and rocks to step over.

But it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The beach is gorgeous, there are tide pools along the beach with beautiful purple starfish in them, and the short walk through the tunnel is quite a neat experience.
